    Actually got it apart, gear isn't inside the collar, it's gone, somewhere inside my bell housing already. Sucks, don't think I can find just the gear assembly!

    also can't even budge it with a huge wrench and cheater pipe on end of the crankshaft after I took out the radiator and front sheet metal to get to it

    sorry forgot to mention I have already had the starter professionally rebuilt by a starter and alternator shop. it barley moved now it cranks out some good rpms with a hot battery, but still not enough to turn that big heavy seized up block over.

    trying to figure out what my gear scheme is. it's an 830 with 1 8 spd shifter. trying to find my highest gear so I can jack up one wheel and break the engine loose by turning it backwards, after soaking the cylinders in ATF I guess through the injector holes? new rebuilt starter, hot batteries...

    actually not sure if it's a case o matic or not. isn't that the 2 speed shift where you have 2 shifters? all it has is one shifter believe it's 8 speed.
