Need help with '63 Ford 4000 ind FEL
Thank you for the colors, would the electronics from a 73 ford 2000 work? Mainly just the generator since the 63' is a 4cyl and the '73 is a 3cyl. Im compression testiing the '73 tomorrow and if its low i was going to swap the generator to use for a while so i can save up. Is there a way to know... -

Im guessing it has most of the stuff but it isnt smart to assume because it had an inop alternator. Its a 172ci gas i got the motor rebuilt since it came with the new sleeves, pistons and gaskets. But i would prefer the factory look of a generator. So could i ise the diesel generator for this? -

I verifiedied a 1963 Ford 4140 Industrial. Well. Let me start at one thing at a time. It looks like im going to have to rebuild the electrical starting with the generator. I know it isnt factory orginal to go 12v but can i put a 12v generator on the tractor to aid in relability? They seem 1/3 or... -

I bought a complete 1963 Ford 4000 Industrial FEL for $500 came with new sleeves, pistons, gaskets and everything still in the package, I installed it all and found out i was missing the exhaust valve lash caps, (damn $4 a piece then $12 shipping :shock: ) so im waiting on those to arrive, but...
