    Mine leaks in that area as well. After just doing a double split earlier this year. It would have to leak a ton before i would open that can of worms :)

    From my experience yes. I'm no expert but i dont see how anything with a clutch could cause a engine not to turn over. I would open the filler hole and look forward. You should be able to see the multipower clutch if its a similar setup to my 135. Mine had stress cracks in it and fell apart...

    Oh I guess i was "lucky" I at least could get the 1st stage to engage so i had hydraulics. Unfortunately i wasn't smart enough to try to start it with the clutch in so i could rule out the engine before i tore it all apart. But hey i have a shiny new head gasket now....

    That exact scenario happened to me this spring. It was due to the multipower clutch coming apart in the gearbox. If its the same thing its a double split job. Now I did not have to take off the lift cover but i'm glad i did because the multipower filter screen was pretty dirty. See my thread...

    I just repaired my multipower clutch and it was a double split job. I'd have a look at it through the fill hole if it was me. Make sure at least the outside plate isnt falling apart like mine did. Dropped pieces into the gears. It was not horrendously expensive but it was alot of work.

    Got my split completed and found the problem. Which we suspected was the multipower clutch pack. The stress cracks made it fall apart and This big ring was stuck in the gears.

    Ok thanks I'll try and call you tonight. I have a guy coming to help get the lift cover off tonight. The seal is broken so I need to remove it to reseal at least.

    Can I set the release gap while its split? I obviously dont want to put it all back together then split it again if possible. My repair manual said i have to remove the lift cover to disconnect the mp oil line to do the split. Crap. I have it ready to lift off. I do i need the shift...

    The bolts extend most of the way through the arms. Here's a pic showing how far it was in. The back side of the arms feels undamaged. I'm thinking that may be old damage to the rivets. The arms don't have alot of play. It looks like the arms are newer. The clutch works great...

    The part is too small to be the clutch springs. Its about the size of the wire springs but they are intact and appear newish. I need to remove the lift cover so i can disconnect the multipower hoses before separating the shift/steering box from the diff case correct?
