    PTO Shield for a 430

    Happy 4th to all! I am restoring a 1968 430, and I am in need of a PTO shield. Anyone know of a source? Thanks for the help. ~Rob

    1968 430 Leaking Diff Oil

    Looking for some advise from you guys that have done some of these things before. I am working on restoring a 430, and it is leaking oil from the right side axle housing where it meets the diff. Looks like there is a gasket there that meeds replaced. What I dont know is how all this comes...

    430 PTO Clutches

    I installed the new clutches in the PTO today. Took me a while, I have never been into one of these. Put everything back together and something isnt right. I work the lever to engage/disengage, the PTO is constantly running. Looks like I will have to tear it down again tomorrow.

    Good Evening All, I am going to be changing the PTO clutches on my 1968 430 this weekend. I am wondering what type of oil is in the rear end and how much I am going to need for replacement. Also looking for where to fill the oil and check the level. Thanks in advance for your responses...

    Hello All - Another question as I continue to move forward on my 430 restoration. I want to change the exhaust on the tractor from an up exhaust, to a down that runs underneath the tractor. I do a lot of mowing under and around trees, and I dont want to be tearing the stack off the thing...

    Painting an Exhaust Manifold

    Ok gang, no question is too dumb to ask, right? Got a new exhaust manifold for my 430 from John. its bare metal right now, what do I need to do to paint it correctly? I assume automobile header paint would be the right choice. What about primer?
