    5210 ignition switch

Why is there a ground wire attached to the switch housing and a ground on one of the terminals on the connector in the back of the switch? When the switch is positioned to start the housing ground and the other ground make contact.

OT: We had snow last night

Golly Hugh Too bad about the cold, good news about the neighbours. You might try finding some of that "Seven Seas" medicine that I found when I was stationed in NS in the 70s-80s. I think they actually bottled it in Lawrencetown, just a few miles from where most of my Farmalls are now hiding...

    First Storm of 2009

Wow, sounds like you guys got a dump! Where are you located? I have a small farm in the Valley, just above Middleton, although I am now in Ontario, just about 80 clicks NW of Ottawa snuggled into minus 20C weather. I talked to neighbors down in NS this morning and they said it was blowing the...

    Farmall 130, want opinions

Wow Hugh! You sure got a lot of good advice on your problem. My solution is a little more simplistic - you could just drive it to Nova Scotia and put it in my shed and then come and work on it whenever you came for a visit. We would just leave the big door open and we would get a lot of people...

    Economy

Haha Hugh! Yes, you are correct, I have not been able to bypass Montreal, however I found a moving company in NS (Bluenose - how fitting!)that had a driver that I know so they managed to haul my tractors to "The Valley" for me. Wife and I made trip last summer with a load of machinery on my...

    super c rims

My front rims on my Farmall Super C are rusted out around the air valve and the tube is protruding. I see a set on the internet for sale which show three lugs welded on the inside of the rims and they say they fit my tractor. I am sure my rims have no lugs. Any suggestions and where I may buy...

Question for Nova Scotia and New Brunswick old-iron guys

Oh dear, are you becoming a matchmaker now? I'm up in the Annapolis Valley right now and I just had 11 of my Farmalls lined up along side the road and did they ever stop traffic!! What a way to meet people!

    farmall cultivators

Hmmm! This seems to turning into a Nova Scotia post! You might wanna try Chown Tractor Parts up in Sussex NB to see if Alton or Dave has a set of cultivators. I might have a spare set myself, I"ll be coming down home in the spring, gonna become a "Valley" farmer in a few years. I call it "The...

    Re: Creeper Gear Offset Farmalls

Morning Hugh Maybe you should build 2 - I want one for my Super A when I am going to use it to pull my (yet to be built!) one row garlic planter when I finally get settled in Nova Scotia. I find my Super A is geared a bit high and I don't think the wife could drop the garlic cloves that...
