    if it is a 995 L you can pull the torque or tranny with out touching the engine. all 955 K & Ls have a flex coupling between the engine and TC. replacing the seal is a simple job I can scan the article from the service manual. there is a wear sleeve that can be installed on the TC input...

    It sounds like the outboard bng on the steering cluth to Final Drive bearing in not oiling and could be seized and turning in the housine.

    977 h caterpillar idler wheels

    Your idler is probably runing outof line. the shims under the side plates can correct this. cut a 2 or 3 inch hole on the side of the idler then weld up the crack and then add on to the center until it is back to center and add passes to both sides until it is back to the original diameter...

    CAT D2 vs D4

    the D4 was larger,it had final drives and a dead axle. the D2 had a live axle bolted to the ring gear and weird steering clutches & Brakes. they were entirely different tractors

    a 933 is a D2. dozer pads are available from cat and Berco. as best I remember the rubber street pads are bolted to standard pads, if they are slick weld 3/4 inch groser bar to them.

    Did you time the infector pump? Change the fuel. Replace fuel filters, empty and clean the primary fuel filter bowl. Replace spring and plunger in the fuel transfer pump.
