    That would be my guess also, betting the fitting on the side of the filter was changed and the line bent to fit.

    Farmall H - Stuck brake cover

    Not to be a a$$ but did you get the bolt out of the cover that screws into the side of the trans cover. I have forgotten that one before.

    I understand you are four hours away from the tractor. The best thing to do would be take the battery out of it and take it to the nearest auto parts store and get a similar battery.

    Might want to check the corners of the building the tractor is in. It could have been tossed in a corner or hanging on a wall. If the plugs are removed you could use a pipe wrench, your just lubing the cylinders not trying to start it.

    My 504 had sat for several years. What I did to get it home. Pulled all spark plugs and squirted oil in each cylinder, then turned the motor over by hand. Do you have a hand crank for the Super M ? Cleaned and set spark plugs and points. Cleaned inside of dist cap and rotor and made sure...

    i do not have a picture but they are on the bottom side of the cylinders and according to the parts manual the pipe plugs were used at serial number 679198 during 1951.

    Clean battery cable ends, battery posts, and where cables mount to starter and ground.

    Cub choke lever

    The new piece you have goes on the other side of the carburetor. The choke shaft sticks out the other side and it attaches there hanging almost straight down when the choke is open. Will try and find a good picture and post it. Found one.

    When was the last time it was tuned up ? Cleaned and gapped plugs, set points gap, adjusted valves, cleaned battery connections.
