    i have done a lot of different things now I go streight at the problem ---drain all the fuel--pull out the sediment unit --turn the water hose on it--some sort of spray directional nozzle--catch what comes out in a 5 gal bucket you will be surprised---- put your sediment unit back in--hook...

    if you are not having problems with the mag I would not change it---[my reason why not]distrutor75 to 100--points-condencer-rotor-cap-plug wires--50-75.00--coil-30-75.00-12volt alternator if 6 volt system now--30-60.00--12volt battery --50 --100--- key switch with acc to pulse alt and not drain...

    6v coil will overheat with 12v battery--- if you used a jumper -did you bypass the ceramic block-- some 12v coils call for a resister
