    Take #1 plug out. Rotate until 1 is up and then put a curved rod in mark, and then go all the way down mark. Subtract the dimensions to get the stroke.

    I believe that the major parts difference was the size of the thrust bearing is larger on later model engines. When I had my 706 the head had smaller sized valves in and 70 HP was all it could do, probably was changed out. If I remember correctly, it was around 36000 or so the ser. no. break...

    Unless the tube is damaged you can replace the seal on it. As far as it goes the drive gear which is fastened on to the front of the shaft by a bolt should not be "loose". Tightening up the bolt is necessary from the front cap. You can get the seal from IH but if you do the umbrella goes towards...

    The rust is from condensing gas leakage. Take pipe apart and reseal it. There will be corrosive liquids that come from exhaust gases. Pretty hard to stop it now. Sand the metal down and prime it.

    350 Utility TA clutch malfunction?

    All good information but I will give you an exception to these. The T/A clutch disk has to free on both sides. Mine was stuck to the steel and left a lump on one side so it could not slip when the clutch is released. It was stuck and had to be disassembled to chisel the surfaces clean.

    Rotate the engine over to top dead center, rotate the distributor till it is at #1 position and assemble the distributor in the motor. start the engine and time.

    Are you sure it is a row crop because the utility has a whole different power steering set up. Just saying because usually the row crop did not have problems'.

    Schwartz wide front vs. factory height.

    Did someone put a wide front from an M on this tractor presumably a 460 or 560. They are 2-3 inches taller because of the way they mount from the flat bottom to the stepped bolster. .
