    I just started pricing 3038 tractors. E is the economy model. It has no position control. I was not told that it was only up or down, but that you would need to "search" for the proper position each time you raise or lower the 3 point. There might be and adjustment that will help you, but...

    Vermeer 1850 trncher

    Thanks for the reply. I thought the auger that removed dirt would also backfill. It has been awhile since I hired a trencher, he had a rider with a blade. Maybe he used the blade and I'm remembering wrong.

    I recently purchased a Vermeer 1850 trencher for my own use. I have used it once and it worked well. My problem is I cannot get it to backfill. When I run back over the trench, it does not reach the fill dirt. If I drive up on the fill dirt the auger is too high to work. The book does not...
