    GL-1 SAE 90 is a Gear oil with an equivalent thickness of SAE 50 in engine oil. I have a British made Fergie too. It is what is called for in the manual. And I use my tractor at -20C and colder.     I have questions about MF35.

    Put some oil in #1 sparkplug hole and redo compression. If it is the rings, the compression will go up. If it is a valve issue, there will be no change.
