Front axle my 1030
My old 60 Chevy 4x4 truck had closed front steering knuckles ( like that tractor has, keeps dirt out), but open u-joints. Those in pic are constant velocity joints like front wheel drive cars have. What "parts bin" maybe borrowed from may include Oshkosh truck or AM General 6x6 3ton army...- ron pann

Oil, Case 770 diesel
Pennzoil, Quaker State, and Castrol come from parafin-based crude in the east. Texas/OK oils are high graphite content based. The latter are better in older diesel applications I'm familiar with. My best looking oil going in and out has been Mobil Delvac. Rotella is just corn oil or a vegetable...- ron pann

Not a "J I Case" proper as in 1030 or 1170 as many of us may have presumed/expected. It is Case-IH named (but a Mitsubishi made) 1991 & maybe leftovers available in 1992. I had the similar 255 model mainly differing in sheet metal appearance (and saw these 1120,1130,1140 instead in the...- ron pann
