    I have a 1955 with a salvaged 2-135 cab. It does all the heavy work on my small farm. Plant with a 1750, spray with a Super 77. Corn all goes to town at harvest in wagons. The GM Super 99 always makes one trip.

    Marvel-Schebler carb problem - advice needed

    I took a little string type graphite packing made for a water valve or water pump. Seems to work, I am sure many mechanics on this site would wince, but a little shot of starting fluid around the pivot would suggest it is a tight fit.

    Thanks.....just found a very affordable, recently overhauled 471, thought it might be fun to introduce it to a 1950. Not so much for pulling, but to farm with. Can the stock radiator keep up with the 6V53?
