    The ol wax treatment

Where I work we have plumbers pipefitting and hvac services. We are are always raiding the wax rings to do that same thing. If it works on old steam pipes it will work on any other applications. Heat to loosen and wax to lubricate has saved me a bunch of threads over the years.

Got a few things done today.

Nice to see some work coming back across the from the other side of the world. We did a couple jobs in a tool and die shop, they had a customer who has dthem fixing injection molding dies from China. Then the customer just decided to have them build the dies the entire way. Lol it turned out...

    not tractor related, but close

Take a punch and tap with a hammer to take the glaze off of the surface. I use hilti drill and bits. They may be able to be rented, but for only a hole or 2 about any bit and hammer drill will do the job.

How do you like them apples?

I had mine about tip a few years ago. I caught it leaning and ratchet strapped it to a tree a ways away to keep it upright. I went and got some lintels from the cement block plant, he had a few with nicked corners and sold em to me for a cheap price. Been Rock solid ever since.

There are people who can run equipment

I have seen csx badged equipment on top of cars unloading ballast in a rail yard near Erie PA. Backhoe and excavator specifically. The backhoe looked pretty sketchy but he was on the rails of the top of the car with the rear stabilizers and had the front bucket clam shelled gripping a beam of...

    RR bridge washed out

It is amazing to see what can be done and how fast it can be done when it's "mission critical". We had a bridge over the interstate get damaged a few years ago, that bridge was down to the ground in about 4-5 days. Had that been a summer time bridge replacement the old one would have been...

    Wood splitting

Looks like a good operation. Why the buzz rig and not a chain saw? I'm thinking i remember you guys cutting some small poles or maybe slabs with with the buzz rig. It did seem to be pretty fast at it.
