    Thanks I'm leaning towards the torch. I was able to pull the PTO out from the back about 4 inches. I hope I can just torch the front off then remove it from the rear.

    I have all the saws and grinders but there is no room to get into the housing to get a good cut on the exposed part of the PTO. How much of the PTO needs to be cut?

    I hate to admit this. When I switched to the 1 3/8" PTO my clutch was for a 1 1/8". I bought a new clutch and it would not slip on. I was in a hurry to mow so I beat it on with a Big Hammer. Really Big Hammer. I had no idea it would twist the PTO the way it did. Lesson learned.
