    Water pump checkup on 8N

    Is there a way to check the water pump on my 1950 8N 12 volt side mount while it is still on the tractor?     I am in the process of flushing my sump right now. I started with 4 cans of spray engine degreaser and 3 gallons of diesel. I let that sit overnight and drained it yesterday. I ran the drained fluid through an old sheet to strain it, then put it back into the sump and let it sit again...
