Better figure out a way to clean them oil galleries as that is one reason blocks get soaked before rebuilding. Least get it to a car wash with hot water and soap. And make sure it’s blown dry as to not rust. Kinda nice to work on a nice clean block.

    Flat belt

Post a picture of this set up. We have nothing really for info here. Using a belt as long as possible is best. I use a 100 ft endless belt on a grain crusher. It’s about 8 “ wide. Gotta look at old farm sales for a used belt.

Not sure what you’re getting at by using rust remover and soaking holes. The whole block gets a soaking overnight in a big tank. Plus never heard of a brg coming out with the cam. Them brg. oil holes must be lined up to the oil gallery holes. And brgs installed very carefully not to buggar up...

And them old mains and rods should have been plastiguaged and the number wrote down so you actually know and have a reference on the clearance. Rods still can be done. Just torque them rods up on the crank one at a time. Post pictures of all them brgs.

How did u get them out. ? U need a cam bushing installer to install the new bushings. Or u just bash them out. Did u get the block hot tanked ? Would have been nice to see the old brgs. And can tell how bad they are. And if it has not been soaked no way I would be screwing up cam bushings...

    Sticky valve on a W30

If that valve was originally stuck due to rust and sitting there is nothing that will prevent it from sticking again. You can tap it loose then run the tractor and it will stick again. There is no other way to clean guides other than remove them and use a brush to clean them. Did that s few...

    Sticky valve on a W30

when the valve stem gets rust of gunk in it is is very hard to have them work freely. proper way is to remove the head , remove the valves and clean the guides with a valve stem brush. you will not get them free and clean any other hill billy way. your on the right track,... remove the head.
