    Hydro 70 Question

Not 100% hytran. Have added non-IH brand trans-hydraulic fluid. You know the TSC brand that SAYS it meets Hy-tran specs.

    Hydro 70 Question

Thanks for the advice. Seems to me that the foot n inch pedal does hit the platform but will have to check to be sure. Your statement about the plates sounds reasonable since it happens when the fluid is hot and thin. Again thanks.

    walk around pics

Where about are you located? Looks like maybe a power plant in the background of one of the pics? looks like there might be a couple of stacks blowing out some steam back there.

    Hydro 70 Question

Wondering if anyone has any experience with Hydros and pulling loads. I have a Hydro 70 with a D312. When it's cold it pulls anything the engine can handle, but when it warms up it loses pulling power. It makes a noise as if the pump is cavitating, about like a power steering pump low on fluid...

    13.6X38 M Tires

It's amazing how much difference there can be in two brands of tires that are the same size. A 12-38 is supposed to the same as a 13.6-38. The only difference is the way they are measured. I learned how they are measured when I worked for Bridgestone/Firestone years ago but have since forgotten...

    IHC 1066 FWA

I don't know about price or production, but I do know someone with a Hydro 100 front wheel assist. Real nice machine, wish I had it. Does anyone know the difference between the H-1066 and the Hydro 100? I was thinking the 100 took the place of the H-1066 but not sure.

    Fuel octane recommendation

Just my $0.02 worth. I work as a tech in a new car dealership. I can't recall any of our vehicles running only 8.5 compression. Most of them are in the 9.5 to 11.5:1 range and recommend 87 octane. These modern engines also put out up to 400+ HP. Even the 4 cyl can get close to 300 HP with the...

    Y A R Cab

I have 2 YAR cabs and they are slightly different from each other. one is a little wider and has wider doors than the other. Model numbers are different. They are very similar in size but not exactly the same.

    Keeping ignition dry

My '66 Chevy 4x4 with a 292 6cyl. would always end up with a wet dist. after driving through a puddle of water too fast. I put on a distributor boot and never have a problem anymore. I think the boot came from a 70's 0r 80's Ford 4cyl., maybe a Pinto, Mustang or Escort. Don't remember which one...

    Farmall C Diesel?

Thanks all for the responses. That sounds like a very cool little tractor. Maybe we could call it a Renaultmic Deering!

    First hemi??

Yeah my driver's ed car was a Plymouth Reliant K car with the horibly anemic 2.6 liter Mitsubishi Hemi 4 cyl. So much for the Hemi reputation! The hemis of the 50's through the 70's had a meaning behind them. This was new stuff back then, but a K-car hemi?????????

    Farmall C Diesel?

Now that would be cool... a C-D! Only problem is what would you call it, a Fiatall or maybe a FarmPugeot????????

    Farmall C Diesel?

I saw a picture in a book of tractor history that showed a C farmall, and the badging on the side clearly said International, Farmall, and Mcormic Deering, along with Diesel. The engine looks like a small diesel, not the regular C engine. The article didn't mention anything about the tractor...
