    broken bolts in aluminum

I recently saw a very interesting video on YouTube where a guy uses alum powder (used for pickles) to chemically dissolve steel bolts stuck in aluminum. I would post a link, but both videos use quite a bit of profanity for adjectives. If interested, search "remove broken bolt aluminum alum" in...

Bad Landlords other side of the coin

I was on an Army Recruiting tour in New Hapshire in 2001. I had to move as my previously rented condo sold and the new owner wanted to live there. It was difficult to find a house that would allow pets, even with a "pet fee". We finally found one, and I should have seen the red flag when he...

    O/T Army recruits Ft. Benning

So the graders of the physical training test know who to look for as they cross the finish line on the two mile run, notice they are holding their score cards. Source: Recently retired from the Army after 21 years of service.

    replacing a broken Craftsman wrench

After working in a retail warehouse for a little bit now, I've recently realized that they probably aren't losing as much money as you and I would think. The returns will likely be evaluated for usefulness and resold to a "bargain hunt" type store by the pallet. Or they go in a scrap bin...

    trucking costs

Well, I live near Paris,TN and I am running empty to Williamsport, PA to help my brother move to WY on June 21st. I have a one ton truck and a 18 foot trailer. I am not a professional hauler! Just an honest country boy heading that way. My email is [email protected]. I'll give you my...

    AC B won't spark

I would dig into the magneto or distributor next. Check for water under the cap and clean the points. If it has a magneto, make sure you hear the click of the impulse. Good luck, keep us posted.

    Harbor Freight tool boxes

They are good if broken in and not abused. I talk to some people who run them off 12 ga 100' extension cords and complain that they trip the breaker, and similar complaints. I don't own one. I have a two stage Kobalt 80 gallon. I can tell you that we sell a lot of those too. If your filling...

    Harbor Freight tool boxes

I have the top and bottom and seven drawer side cabinet. I really think it's a good value for the money. I work at HF and we sure sell quite a few of them and they don't come back for returns unless they are "damaged" in transit. They are also real popular on a garage forum that I frequent...

    Eggs

Very, very rarely. There isn't usually room for development and proper position. I hatch out 100's of eggs a year.

    Carcasses

You might want to check with your landfill, mine here in Tennessee takes them. You just have to drive them to the pit, they have a forklift or bucket loader to off load.

Coil retainer screws on a Fairbanks Morse FM magneto?

I know the FM J style mags had those bolts sealed with lead when new. I am not sure what model of FM mag your MD tractor uses, but it couldn't hurt anything to seal them up and give you peace of mind.

    Rural king keys

I don't remember ever seeing a key cutting machine there. Grandpa's is right up the road and I know they do.

Antique Tractor and Engine Show this weekens

I may bring an ugly Allis IB and see if I can win the "ugly tractor contest". I also have a B that I use every week to mow...I may bring that too. I'm glad you posted the flyer, I was thinking my tractors were not "good enough" to bring to a show yet.
