    The hardware store was on the street with offices and storage upstairs. Shop, parts and equipment were in the back. On the farm at Toomey’s corners in Holcomb was most of the big equipment on display out front on 5&20, and there was a small shop and a barn with the parts counter & inventory on...

    Yup. TSC, that’s funny - back then we had GLF then Agway… BTW, there was also a store/shop in Holcomb where I grew up. My dad did sales for grandpa til about 1960 and we lived there on the farm. The house is still there and as creepy as it may sound, is just as it was when we moved out 64 years...

    I can walk you right to the spot on Main St., but don‘t have the address and none of the photos show a street number… Using Google Maps, the address comes up as 114 Main St.. The “Converse Family…” book sounds interesting. Will share with my niece DKReed🙂
