    I guess that might depend on the type of tractor..... None of the ones I have worked on could be hand fitted.

    You should get a copy of the International Harvester Tractor Data Book by Guy Faye. It has a lot of info on makes and numbers produced, etc. It come in handy.

    Super A timing

    Very interesting question. I would go with the tdc method over the timing marks. It may be that some parts were replaced. Just my thoughts. I am interested to hear the feedback from the experts as well.

    I think you might have a 1951. Can you look and see if there are casting dates? Look on the tractor just above the floor and pedals. It will look like a date except a letter will be substituted for a year. It might be a u, w or maybe even an x if the tractor wasn't assembled until 52. I...

    Super AV Front Axle Pivot Shaft Worn

    I have the pivot shaft out of the front end of a Super AV. The shaft is worn pretty bad. What have you guys done in the past to try and fix this? Can you buy a new one? Do you have a machine shop turn it? What recommendations can you make? Thanks, Sam
