    Why I chose to insulate and heat my pole barn

    My 4800 sq ft pole barn is heated by two Reznor 150k BTU separate combustion heaters. Humidity is usually around 45%. If I bring in something wet, I run a small dehumidifier until it dries up. I keep the temp at 50 until I go down to work. Then I crank it up to 68 using an app on my cell phone...

    Portable spot welders? Suggestions

    I use the Harbor Freight model for reattaching chain guards on bikes. They break off the brackets. Works very well for that purpose.

    I used them to order parts for my Nissan Forklift. They were legit and I got everything. I ll be ordering some brake parts from them next. I believe they are a Canadian company.

    Battery education needed

    I would recommend Trojan or US Battery for replacement batteries. Check with local golf courses to see if they will order for you, as they get them cheaper. Many courses are now going to lithium, but some still use wet cell batteries.

    12v vs 6v system NAA

    You can also have the generator rewound for 12 volts and get a new voltage regulator. That way you retain the mounting brackets for the generator. I did this on my 47 Willys CJ-2A. It still uses the original 6 volt starter. The headlights and taillights were changed to 12 volt.

    Yep, we like trains around here. I have 3. O scale, 7-1/2 gauge and full-sized. The caboose was built in 1906 and ran on the Oregon Electric Railway between Portland and Eugene.
