    I just ordered the #357319s fiber washer. some info shows no washer and some do. don't know which is right. The ford FO-4 manual shows that its not there. but ford parts show it for a 9n,2n and 8n. there also is a little steel thrust washer in the parts drawing #356491-s. its under the rear...

    thanks guys , I did read and one guy says this washer is used on 8n side distrib with proof meter. I have 2n with front dist and no proof meter. so do I use it or not? I did have balls that were wearing on the inside housing. the clearance was was it was supposed to be when I took it apart. ??

    ok guys , new guy posting for help. I have a 46 2n ford that I,m rebuilding the gov. I got a kit and am disassembling the drive gear. I pressed it off and there is supposed to be a fiber washer between the gear and bearing housing, BUT, no fiber was on it. I cant find one to order. anyone know...
