    running rough after rebuild.

#1 cylinder at top-dead center. Install distributor with rotor pointing to #1 spark plug wire. Distributor should have room to be rotated both clockwise and counter clockwise as needed. This is assuming the cap is wired correctly and the #1 cylinder is on the compression stroke, not exhaust stroke.

Has anyone installed a hydraulic oil filter?

Most of the filters I have seen installed have been from the return side of an add-on valve to run a loader, log splitter, baler, etc. on tractors that only used one-way cylinders for lifting when new.

    O.T - Large garden tiller

After reviewing your thoughts and a little more research on my own, I think the best plan for my situation is to build a subsoiler for my WD-45 and sell the 3 tillers I have and buy a counter-rotating model with an engine in the 8 HP range. I appreciate all the comments and apologize if some of...

    O.T - Large garden tiller

Perhaps the soil in your area is different than what I am dealing with, perhaps not. It needs organic matter and sand/lime to loosen it up most certainly, but that doesn't do me any good when trying to work it right now. I have seen a Frazer tiller a friend at work has that has tines that are...

    O.T - Large garden tiller

I have a snap coupler 3-bottom plow. I don't have fluid in the tires or rear weights, so while I have the power, I couldn't get enough traction to pull it, so I removed one plow. This is all well and good, but even after disking, there are still clods/clumps and places where the depth is...

    O.T - Large garden tiller

Now THAT is what I am talking about. You're right about sitting down, though. I wonder how long it would take to find a used one....? I have a need for a sickle mower attachment, also. Guess I'd better start looking.

    O.T - Large garden tiller

I have the owner's manual and have followed the instructions. Even called Troy-Built and asked if there was a kit to convert it to counter-rotating tines, no luck. I need a soil breaker, not a 6 HP weeding tool.

Thanks for the info, I thought I had heard once before that they were trouble.

    O.T - Large garden tiller

I have 2 garden plots, 1 30x40 and 1 20x125. I am SICK of small, slow, awkward residential sized garden tillers. I have 2 front tine models, which work fine if you have lots of time to spend tilling your garden, which I don't. I also have a Troy-built Econo-horse rear tine tiller given to me by...

    Hows this for neighbors?

Allright, now I'm confused. Are we talking about bees or hornets here?

    Grease fitting removel

True, but the die grinder/carbide bit is still probably the best options.

    Whatzit (under 30 only, PLEASE)

I don't know about anybody else, but I think the demise of the cardboard oil/transmission fluid can HAS to be one of the greatest things to occur in the last 30 years, as far as auto maintenance convenience goes. Remember those annoying spouts that leaked everywhere, open oil cans getting...

Truck With 3+ Year Old Gas In Tank

Just went through the same thing on an Oldsmobile that sat about the same amount of time due to brake problems. The gas is junk. Doesn't want to burn. Mine got used here and there burning trash, brush piles, ect. because it sure wouldn't burn in the engine.
