    Your right, I put in in the press first but chickened out when it didn't move. So went the hard way and removed the upper snap ring finally got it out and pressed the shaft out. The bearing had another snap ring on the back side, not accessible either. Don't understand but it lasted 70 or 80...

    I'm restoring an early 9N with a F&T Overdrive. The Overdive needs a seal on the clutch input shaft. I've got the input housing off and need to press out the shaft. There is a snap ring underneath the gear at the back. maybe a 1\16 " of room to get to ring. no holes in ends I can see. I know...

    snow is finally over in south Arkansas. Had an inch of sleet and ice Monday then 12 more inches this week. plowed drive twice, last time was 1989 I think. Have heard of 5 chicken house's that fell in, sure there are more. Relief coming Saturday. Temp will start to get above freezing.

    Ford electrical wiring

    Tim--I believe your third wiring diagram (FORD 8N with one wire alternator) would not show discharge from lights. Alternator wire needs to go to junction block and 12v positive from solenoid through ammeter? will show charge but not discharge from lights. others are correct.

    Ford 640 tractor split for clutch issue

    I have a 57-640 I put a clutch in, housing was full of oil but was leaking from engine rear seal. Clutch was dry.
