    International driven shaft has moved

Hit a big rock while bush hogging and it snapped a blade on the mower. Replaced the blades and mowed for about 45 minutes when the PTO stopped turning. Tore down my B275 and found that the snap ring had broken. It had also snapped the tube of the bracket that holds the PTO engagement lever...

    B275 pto stopped turning

The pin is still intact and doesn't look to be worn.

    B275 pto stopped turning

Thanks, I'll take a look at that pin when I'm back in the shop. Had to send the other part out to be welded.

    B275 pto stopped turning

Item 3. About an inch in from the flange is a hole on one side. Starting at the hole it cracked all the way around the circumference of the tube.

    B275 pto stopped turning

Pulled the shifter out and the flange-tube assembly it slides through is broken in half. Seems it was welded up one other time and fractured at the same place. Why would that be under such stress?

    B275 pto stopped turning

Hi, Mowing along and my bush hog stops running. The PTO shaft has stopped spinning, but the clutch was still engaged. Tried disengaging, engaging it, but no luck. Removed the bush hog and shut it down. - the PTO shaft still has about 1/4" of play. - disengaged, it turns by hand with some...

Thanks everyone for your input. Need to find some time this weekend to go measure these and see what happens.

    B275 tire options

They used ones are already installed on rims. I'm pretty sure the bolt pattern is the same.

    B275 tire options

I"ve got a B275 that has 14.9 - 28 tires on it. They are falling apart pretty bad and the best price I can find local is $384/each without mounting. Saw a set of used 16.9-26 today in pretty good shape complete with 8 lug rims. If I went with these would it cause problems? What I really need...

Off topic rant--kids today are mechanically illiterate!!

This has been happening for more than a couple of generations. My father is in his 60s and most of his friends have one skill set or another, very few can do two or more. It's the same with all of my friends (early 40's). If they work on cars then they probably can't hang a ceiling fan. If they...

    B275 dash

Thanks for the wiring information, it will sure come in handy. I'm hoping that my motor is fine. Seems to run great as soon as it's started. The guy I bought it off of buys tractors at auctions and supposedly "rebuilds" them. . .if you call pressure washing and cans of spray paint rebuilding...
