    My 861D timing marks are on side of fly wheel next to starter ring so I marked the TDC and 22° on face so could be seen thru window.

    The holes do not have to line up. I have pulled a couple on hundred series to replace back pressure spring witch thousand series do not have. I used something big like deep socket and tapped back in.

    How often do you buy a whole tractor just to get a part?

    That must be why I have 6 WCs, Buy one to fix but this or that worn/bad, buy another one for same parts worn out. Then get a good one for parts.
