460 Farmall Head
OK we filed the sleeves down to about flush with the block but now we found out where the head gasket blew the block has a .003 depression right between the cylinders. How much can a block be off on this tractor and still get the head gasket to seal. Between one and two cylinders it is low about 3 thousandths of an inch and this is where the head gasket blew last time. My brother has a 460 that the head gasket keeps leaking on it. It has been replaced twice and the guy that replaced it said he had to over torque it to get it to quit leaking. MM 670 Hydraulic problem
It has original tractor valves and it was acting up before I changed the filter, that"s why I changed it.Also when I had the filter off about 1 gallon of oil ran out of the filter housing fairly fast when I had the filter off. MM 670 Hydraulic problem
