    accumulators and bale wagons

We only do 2 wire square bales (no twine). I try to stay away from computerized stuff. In my experience, when it breaks down it breaks down hard. I was trying out new case balers and tractors last summer. Every other week the technicians were coming out and they were not very knowledgeable. Sent...

    accumulators and bale wagons

Hi there. We are in Texas. We used to bale about 10,000 squares a year. However, the last couple of years we just can't get the labor hired to haul squares. People just do not want to work, especially if it requires physical labor - whole other topic. There are a ton of round balers around us...

    Starter button won't make connection

The starter button on my 2N / 8N - 12V won't engage the starter. It acts like it does if the tractor was in gear and you tried to start it. It just does nothing. No click - no whirring - so not the solenoid - I'm assuming. Obviously there's a neutral safety switch - does that go bad - or...

    Duetz head bolts

Somewhere, I wrote down the reject length of a 912 head bolt. Needless to say that now I need that information, I can't find it. Does any body here know what the dimension might be? Thanks a bunch.

    4650 freshening?

We've put our 4650 in the shop and are in the process of tearing down for a rebuild at 8300 hrs. somewhere I read that the 55 series were supposed to be more fuel efficient because of a different injector nozzle. I think it was more holes and better atomization. Does anyone know if that was...

    Marvel vs. Zenith

This site sells a Zenith carb for a 801 that purports to be a "better alternative" to Marvell. If I do purchase a new carb for my 841 what are your experiences with the Marvell vs. Zenith? thanks

    1550 hydraulic filter

Does a 1550 Cockshutt have a hydraulic filter? When I work my hydraulics I hear a whine, similar to the sound a pump makes when it's low on oil. The oil is up to correct level on the dipstick. My fel is hooked up to the connections at the rear & is controlled by the levers by the seat...
