Windrow clumps
Have old Sperry New Holland 1496 swather. It makes windrows with large clumps. I have adjusted conditioner rolls to specification. Sickle knife and guards are good. Tried moving faster and slower. Does anyone have any ideas. The clumps make drying time long.- sjw

NH 1496 Swather
I have just started using a New Holland 1496 Swather. This model does not have an auger. The reel rotates is a way that pulls the crop to the center. Cut hay builds up below the conditioner rolls. The hay build-up sets just above the sickle. I don't know if this is normal and correct. I know...- sjw
