    WD45 Value

My grandfather had a WD that I still have, but it would need even more work than this one to get going (4 tires and rims all around just to start). Orange is in my blood I guess and I especially like the look of the old WD/45s. For my small operation it's the perfect tractor so I'm always...

    WD45 Value

I hear that had 5 degrees this morning, going to be 2 tomorrow. Can't wait for spring, if only we could avoid the mud that's sure to come!

    WD45 Value

JMS did it have a stuck motor, did you get it unstuck and if so how? LOL. l I'm going to offer about that, maybe a little more but I don't have a trailer with a winch so I'd end up paying / owing a friend for hauling it home so there's that to account for too.

    WD45 Value

Thanks all, I'll probably take a look and make an offer if they still have it in a week. You never know how bad someone (or someone's significant other) wants a project gone. If I do pick it up, I'll give it a good dose of marvel first and see what happens.

    WD45 Value

Now there's an idea, if only I lived in the land of tractor boneyards! Out here in the Northeast everything costs more than it should and parts machines are few and far between. I certainly could get another engine from out west, but I think the shipping would be cost prohibitive? Parting it out...

    WD45 Value

Thanks, my thought was around $500-$600 as well. I doubt they'll take it but you never know. If I bought it I'd want to repair it and use it. I'm sure they'll argue the value is in the parts, but as you outline, parting it out by no means makes it a money maker.

    WD45 Value

Hey all, what would be a resonable asking price (or in my case offer) on this Allis?: https://nwct.craigslist.org/grd/d/northfield-allis-chalmers-wd45-tractor/6831764495.html Looks like a late '57. The description doesn't seem right to me, tires look OK, and tin's good minus the big dent...

    Farmall H w/ loader attachments

Thanks everyone for the advice. I agree $2500 is still way too much - all the old iron out here is going for crazy numbers. I spoke with them again they say it is running, they just haven't used it. I told them I need to think about it, information keeps changing. If it's still there in a month...

    Farmall H w/ loader attachments

Thanks I was thinking around $1500 would be my maximum. He claims it was running when they parked it and just never intended to use it again. Price has two things going against it the NorthEast Tax as I call it and also sentimental value it's been in the guy's family for 50 yrs only reason he's...

    Farmall 240 cutting out

Check the spark plug wires with a test light and make sure they aren't burnt out. Had that happen on a buddy's 8N once. Could also be point gap check for spark in distributor. Start there and work your way out.

    Shed water system

I've heard this too, further research suggests this may only be the case in Arizona, Utah, Oklahoma, and Colorado. Best to check however even if they look at you like you're crazy.

    Farmall H w/ loader attachments

Hi All wondering if you could give some knowledgeable advice on a tractor I'm looking at buying. 1948 Farmall H, with old piston and cable style loader. Looks fairly clean from the pictures, I haven't seen it in person yet. Seller say's it hasn't run in 3 years. Ad says $3500 but seller said...

    International 240?

Hi all, Looking at a local IH 240 to use as a temporary tractor on my small farm until I can afford something bigger. Was wondering what everyone's thoughts on this model are? I know not many of them were produced compared to other models. Not sure if it was because they weren't that...
