    Is there a 12v electric intake heater element replacement for the thermostart system? I'm sure the thermostart works fine when it's working, but my MF 135 doesn't have the diesel return line plumbing for it, and I'd rather not have the possibility of leaks into the intake if the valve fails...

    Making some progress What does (Wire Tapped) mean on the 12ga red wire going to the alternator? It's not connected to anything on the diagram? Maybe it's just a bad scan. Looks like I have a fat red wire going to R terminal with some tape on it.

    My serial is 9A69515. I'm in Canada but I don't have any history on the tractor. Forgot the parts manual shows production changes, you're right p.152 of the parts book shows oil pressure switch on all models with some early vs late changes. So I have no idea why it's not on my wiring...

    Looking again and I can't figure out the history, it has the 4 post voltage regulator like in the wiring diagram for alternator models, was the oil pressure switch a stock setup? Maybe I should just switch to an internally regulated 10SI alternator and simplify this whole mess, maybe add a fuse...

    Forgot to mention the drive shaft does turn when the tractor is running, so presumably the pump would work again if I can get a new shaft and key installed.     Fluid is clean but has some froth on top, this tractor is fairly new to me so it's possible there was ice somewhere that has clogged the system. Thanks for the checklist I'll start working through it after I dig out. Might have to wait until spring - discovered the diff lock doesn't work...

    Alternator Wiring

    Glad you got it worked out. I'm having the same problem now (battery overcharging). Did you go with a modern solid-state regulator replacement or an original electro-mechanical type? Going to pull my voltage regulator apart and try cleaning the points.
