    F-12 fuel level

The I-T book says, " fuel level to be 23/32 inch below the bottom of the upper body." But it does not give any information on how to arrive at this figure. Would appreciate hearing some ideas. Thanks, Fritz

    172 diesel engine balancing ?

I was reading some old posts about balancing this engine. How do you balance them aside from the counterbalance? Weigh each rod and each piston? Where do you remove metal on rods and especially pistons? Also do you balance all four pistons or rods to each other or the piston and rod assemblies...

I've got a Deere 8350 with the marker attachment and am wanting to set it up for rope lift. I believe all the parts are there except for the rope - it has the uprights on the ends of the frame with the porcelain insulator guides and remnants of frayed rope tied into the loops on the marker...

    Came new with a rattle

I bought a new Hitachi leaf blower online from XXXX tools. It arrived quickly and looked good' Upon inspection there was what sounds like a loose bolt inside the case of the blower. Lean it right, the bolt rolls right, left and it returns to the left. I'm not sure what to do. Open the case and...

    Can't believe that happened

Last disking job of the year. I was finishing up. I stopped to close a gate. The tractor stopped. I thought I killed the motor backing up to close the disk. All I could do was walk to the truck about a block, and a half way and get my battery. The tractor started and stopped. I was on a incline...

    IH27V mower

I need to get the driven belt pulley off to replace the wrist pin stud that holds the pitman arm on. The pulley is a full circle counter-balanced pulley unlike the one shown in my book that has a flat part. The shaft end shows through along with the end of the tapered key. Spaced around the...

    Piston Stuck

I finally got out in the garage today to start putting my project 3400 back together. The plan was to get the head put on today and check compression. Once I got out there I realized one of the pistons was not moving when trying to turn the radiator fan. I sprayed penetrating oil around the...
