    tightening differential

    Ive got a farmall 460 and I was wondering if anyone knew of some ways to tighten up the differential to make it less sensitive to slipage. I dont want a complete diff lock, but a way to just tighten it up more.

    Use the 301, it is a simple bolt in. The 308 is nightmare. If you choose the 308 be prepared to do a lot of machining.

    I would like to see an organized mathematical proof for this. It was said that a 450 motor put into a M chassis would dyno differently than it would in the 450 chassis because the pto gearing is different? I thought horsepower was horsepower. Someone smart needs to explain this.
