    Mac Tractor?

No, I’ve never been there. When I was looking for some specific parts, the local AGCO dealer gave me their number.

    Mac Tractor?

Boy, you might be right… That would be too bad. They were very helpful and had decent prices on things. They also had hard to find parts which was extremely helpful when I was working on my Massey 50.

    Mac Tractor?

I’ve been trying to get a hold of the guys at Mac Tractor the last couple of days and my calls won’t go through. It’s like their number is in correct but I’ve checked it several times. I’m wondering if anyone else is having this problem or did they go out of business?

    Massey 150 3 pt problem

That’s what I thought but didn’t know if the different control made a difference. I wonder if it had been locked back and it some how got nocked foward.

    Massey 150 3 pt problem

I have a neighbor that is having a problem with the 3 point on his Massey 150. He says it worked fine last year and he decided to change the oil out as it was a little low and hadn’t been changed in some time. Now, it won’t lift the arms. The tractor does have the dual remote bolted to the top...

    Massey Ferguson Third Spool Valve

Yeah, I figure that will be the case. Im just hoping someone can give me a lead.

    Massey Ferguson Third Spool Valve

I was wondering if anyone had a lead on where to get the third spool valve for the older Masseys, like what would have been on the 50 - Super 90. It would have bolted onto the the side of the double valve that goes on to of the top of the transmission. I included a picture to show what it would...

    Massey Ferguson 50

Thought I would let you know, even though I dont know for sure where I have the RPM set, I did loosen the clamp and it is much closer now. I can pull the throttle all the way down and it is about wide open. Thanks for the help with this, I had about decided that was the problem but you post made...

Okay, that actually says to use the u-bolt to get the top speed within the range. My books say it a little different and made me think it wasnt a big deal. This will give me a place to go once I get the tach slowed down some. This generator is not original to the tractor and I have one coming...

    Massey Ferguson 50

We are using the IT book and the owners manual for the tractor. The only think we havent done is adjust the u clamp. Our tach works but I know it isnt right, reading about 1000 rpm when it has to be down around the 400 mark. Im working to get this figured out before I try adjusting the clamp...

How could I have installed the spring wrong? Ive been trying to figure out if something like that could have happened but I dont hardly see how

Okay, we shortened the rod from the carb to the governor and we do have governor action. However, now we dont have as much throttle control as we would like. We start at a low rpm but it doesnt take long before it is sped up faster than we really want. Any idea how to slow how fast it accelerates?

We have not done the rope seals yet. Ill get a new pan gasket and try those. (I really dont want to do those but if that fixes it, then okay.) We replaced the governor with a new one. Ill try working the lever by itself tonight or tomorrow and let you know what I come up with.

    Massey Ferguson 50

We just rebuilt the engine in our Massey 50 and replaced the governor. Weve got two problems now: 1. We have a leak out the back of the engine. We put a new rear main seal in when we rebuilt it. This is on the Continental gas. Any ideas where its coming from? Could it be the bearing cap...
