    1999 F250 fuel pump replacement???

Mobile mechanics are the bane of my existence, they're mostly hacks that make trained professionals look bad. I'd have it looked at by someone who knows something. I doubt he even knows which relay is the fuel pump relay, it's not obvious on a Ford. If it actually does need a pump, drop the...

    Highway diesel fuel

Some here were cheering the high fuel prices, something about getting rid of something that needed gotten rid of. But the "getting rid of" doesn't seem to be going too well.

Missing catalytic converters on a Ford Ranger

Maybe, maybe not. While they will technically run (if you call spitting and sputtering running) the 80's hot wire MAF gm cars, the baud rate on the ECM is so slow, they have trouble staying running because the ECM can't switch fuel maps fast enough without a MAF input. So the engine ends up...

Missing catalytic converters on a Ford Ranger

On old vehicles like the one in question, you are correct. But stuff from the last 15 years or so will use the rear sensors to fine tune the mixture to optimize catalytic converter operation.

    502 BBC heads question ?

Depends on its original usage. The 502 was never factory installed in a vehicle, only over the counter. Most 502's were sold as performance engines and will have rectangle ports. GM performance did sell a truck 502 with oval port heads as a 454 replacement. Chamber volume would be selected...

    Todays funny

And if you adjust the speed to scale, she just drove her Corvette faster than gramps will ever drive his. When I visited the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, it was private delivery day in the lobby. It was sad and funny at the same time. Funny that here sits all these performance cars thay...

    DEF sensor requirement eliminated

Useless ruling. Manufacturers are far too invested in these emission systems to turn back now. They know all it takes is a regime change and the rules will flip 180 and they'll be playimg catch-up. DEF isn't going anywhere, and is actually pretty reliable now. These systems give plenty of...

    Wrong color

Scares me for our future that even with the obvious inconsistencies, and the AI content reported at over 50%, some people continue to insist it's real.☹️ We are at the point where video is now untrustworthy. Used to be, only the written word could be easily faked or wrong. Yes, I know...

    Wrong color

That's the problem, there is little skill involved. Go to the AI provider of your choice, tell it you want a video clip of this, this, and this, and it churns it out. Now, it will only do exactly what you say, so the more specific your instructions, the better the output. Never thought I'd see...

    Truck Power Steering Line

The one circled in blue is a transfer tube. The red circle is the supply line. You are unlikely to get a new supply line to seal in the rack due to corrosion in the bore where the line seats.
