    -Metabo -Sait -Norton -Hand Grind with a File & Sandpaper :lol: Thats my suggestion in order of my preference. No such thing as cheap abrasives...sure some are 1/2 the cost, but the last 1/3 the life...making them more expensive in the long haul.

    Never tried it IN my pressure washer..I can see it being good for that. and I do dilute it for "everyday" equipment cleaning as well...I have one of the TSC 1 Gal pump sprayers with a 25% mix in it.

    I've never bought a small bottle of it...workin on the last little bit of my Gal jug (8.99/gal = .06 Cents/OZ) and I'll be buying a 5 gal pail next (29.99/5 Gals = .04 Cents/OZ)

    All the above are good ideas and I use them too...only difference is the only Degreaser you'll find here in my shop now is B52..."The Brown Bomber"...talk about good stuff. Also washes off cleanly with no residue...so its essentially ready for sanding & painting...

    Best way of preparing cast iron tractor housing for paint

    Decide what primer you'll be using first...a lot of Epoxy primers do not behave well on top of acid washes. On something like cast, it may be virtually impossible to completely neutralize the acid...causing you tons of heartburn down the road.

    IMO you're well within reason. Seriously its 2011, not 1991 when steel was cheap and old equipment was everwhere. Between high scrap prices and the surge of Classic Farm Equipment collecting, prices have gone up!
