Massey Super 90 steering coupler question

The seal on the gearbox? looks shot. You might want to make sure it has lube and isn't full of water.

    Mf202 loader control valve

Keep in mind the cylinders on that loader don't have any checks. If the hose blows, gravity takes over. Fast. Ask me how I know... Hydraulic hose: the outer rubber protects the steel core and the steel core holds the inner hose together. Once the steel core is compromised, it's only a matter of...

    Mf202 loader control valve

The valve is toast. There was/ is no practical way to "rebuild" it. The spools, first picture, were ground and polished and then lapped to the valve body. That extremely close tolerance is what keeps the valve from leaking. The seals are more to keep out dust and water than to keep fluid in...

    Opinions Solicited

A foot switch is a bad idea. If that blade slows down in a heavy cut? A recipe for kickbacks, if you ask me.

    MF 202 Bucket Teeth

I replaced the original 48" Material Bucket on my Massey Ferguson 202 (100 Loader) with a 72" Kubota Bucket. No Issues. I have a few small stumps and two dry wells to put in and the 48" seems like a good fit. The 48" Bucket needs a new cutting edge, sides, and a bottom. I'd like to put teeth on...

Locked rotor Amps Vs In Rush Amps

Spot on. There should be a bulletin for his long line-set/ elevation from Lennox. If this system was installed correctly the hard-start kit and solenoid should have been added then.

Back blade question - Kubota b6100

The blade needs to be wider than your rear wheels. There is somewhat of a learning curve.

Locked rotor Amps Vs In Rush Amps

In my opinion, there is a lot to this. Line set length, wire size, difference in elevation between the condenser and evaporator, head pressure, ect. The amp draw seems inline with the LRA. Do you trust the contractor?

    Motor Oil...

Thanks everyone. A couple fellows gave some good ideas as to why the Briggs and Stratton is using oil. I'll keep an eye on it qnd see if it improves. I have been running Fram Conventional 10W30 in all the regular engines without any issues. The vehicles have always gotten Castrol GTX or...

I agree. All oil changes are at 5k miles.

    Motor Oil...

I miss typed the original statement. I am considering switching everything to the W5-30 synthetic blend that the Explorer calls for. I was also surprised about the blend, but the service department confirmed that Ford specs synthetic blend for that engine (WSS-M2C961-A1).

I live in South Jersey, 20 miles from Philadelphia, PA. No extreme weather conditions.

    Motor Oil...

I don't think we have debated motor oil in a few days, so here it goes. I have three Fords, 1999 Mustang GT with a 4.6, 2011 F150 with a 3.7, and a 2025 Explorer with a 3.5l twin turbo. The Explorer calls for 5-30 synthetic blend, the Mustang and pickup call for 5-20 (both have over 130k...

Question about old-style locking mechanism - Knaack job box

I think the "hook" was a piece of flat bar with a notch towards the back. It bolted (loose) to the clip in the first photo and dropped between the lock body and shackle. The notch got trapped by the shackle when the body is pressed in and locked. The lock is held in the pocket by a small angle...

Ferguson TO30 Front Axle Support Housing

I wouldn't weld on it unless you can control the preheat and post-heat. Even then it may crack. I doubt that notch will ever give you a problem. However, if it were me? I'd likely replace it since it's already apart and needs machine work.
