    Later model cubs used a ZENETH carb. Usually a new gasket and thorough cleaning (two jets) will take care of most problems.

    You might be able to use a cutting disc and small grinder or drimmel to cut the nut off and save the other part.

    Cub Carb.

    You did not say what is wrong with your carb. Usually a good cleaning and new gasket will take care of the usual problems associated with sitting up and not running. The idle jet is the main area that gets damaged when disassembly is done. Remove the screws and just pull the two sections...

    I have also drilled a small hole from the bottom side of the cap seal to releave the pressure through the hole to the atmosphere side. When the cap is place on the radiator and tightened it will never pressure up unless the hole gets plugged.
