Correct Hydraulic fluid for Farmall 300 and 450??

If temp is the issue? Since the hyd and trans are separate on a 300-450 ATF (or a light hyd oil) will work better in cold temps in the hyd's. 460 and above yes Hy-Tran, since hyd and trans are the same. Have known people who use 1086's as chore tractors in cold climates that mix ATF 50/50...

    Farmall 706 diesel 24volt starting?

How about 2 12's parallel, individual cables to the starter, double the amp's. Had a 560 diesel this way with low priced batt's and it started like a champ in the cold

    Super C three point hitch

IH fasthitch on it would be the best, two bottom plows, 5-6' tandem disc, they lift well to the point where you would need weight on the front

560 diesel smoke or lack of?

A properly tuned and tight 282 should smoke very little, had an overhauled one that would start at 10-20 degrees with glow plugs only with no smoke what so ever, a jacked up one is a different story, the 301 G+D's will get close to 100 Hp stock
