    Since you have replaced bearings in these. Do you have any tips or suggestions to make the job easier? Freezing the spindle prior to reassembly should help and I found heating the bearings also helped.

    Since original post I have rebuilt the spindle assembly. Just wondering if anyone had luck with swapping the old John Deere part with a new spindle assembly like one for Scag, Kubota, Husqvarna.... etc. Seems like that should work if the dimensions are correct.

    Has anyone tried to Remove and Replace the existing John Deere Spindle assembly with another brand since the old parts are VERY EXPENSIVE or not available? Any ideas of which available spindle assemblies might work? Scag, Kubota, Husqvarna???? Something that is affordable... Let me know.
