    Ford 3000 (Gas) Overheating

    That might be an indication of a blown head gasket, or worse ( cracked head, etc). Did you check the engine oil for water?

    703 loader lift capabilities

    Andy, thanks for the reply. My loader is a 19-201 with double bucket cylinders. I heard a conflicting report that it will lift 2000#. Regardless, I am going to ask the local farmer if he can standby by with his big JD?s. I going to try first. Weight is 1840#. I will let you know how it works...

    703 loader lift capabilities

    Hi, I have a 1962 641 with a 703 loader and I am getting a lift delivered Tuesday and the skid weight is 1840 lbs. Will my loader lift that? Bucket was removed and forks installed. Thanks, Steve

    Cab curtains

    I hopped on a thread the other day re: cab curtains. I have a '62 641 with a factory looking cab that apparently had snap on curtains for doors. Does anybody have patterns or an idea where I can get them? I will try to download some pictures tomorrow. Thanks, Steve

    checking compression

    You certainly don't check compression with the engine running. I pull all the plugs and crank the engine about 5 compression strokes on the gauge. Do that for all cylinders and record the readings. Then do it again after a few squirts of oil in the cylinders and record those readings. The wet...
