Selling consecutive serial number JD tractors?

More? Probably. A lot more? Probably not, unless some other feature makes them more special.

Is it plumb or is it level

Not parallel or perpendicular to the horizon arc but rather to a line tangent to the arc at that point.

    Heat and Age

Actually a good idea. I wore one for a ling time while I was working outside. The end of the tube finally failed, and I haven't replaced it yet, but it does keep water at hand and yet out of the way.

    Clocks or no clocks?

"Everyone" is not "always" on their phones. Not all of us are addicted to the cursed things.

    Heat and Age

I used to thrive in it; not anymore. I went down once in the field while serving an artillery piece at a reenactment (the action had come to an end, I did my art in securing the piece, and then my vision narrowed, and I collapsed). Cool drinks, cool compresses, and lying in the shade brought...

Center ramp for narrow front end

Weight distribution on a B is *roughly* 70/30, so I suspect it it similar on a 50. Tractor Data gives a weight of 4855, which I'll bet is with fuel, oil, water, etc. That gives 1456 lbs on the front end. Call it 1500. FWIW.

    Caterpillar Paint Color

So I got a can of the Old Cat yellow from ASAP, and it still seems to be too orange. So I have got four cans of different paint, all not matching. Maybe I am trying to match faded paint too closely. Anyway, I will try one more option: there is a paint for touching up the (in)famous Tonka...

    old tractors need help fixing

We've got an old-fashioned tractor repair shop in town. The guy that opened it sold out,, but the buyer "ghosted" him, as the saying is these days, and he went back to work. His father used to hang out with him and help. I haven't visited in some time, so I don't know the situation now. But...

    1963 Mercury Monterey

It was electric. My grandfather's last car. 390. Not sure of the tranny. He put a trailer hitch on it and used it to haul the boat and the wood trailer as well as for long-distance family trips. Ran like a champ for at least 20 years. Dad finally sold it when the floorboard rotted out. I...
