    With your temp probe check different sides of the radiator for uneven temps for a parcel plog.

    My 1959 35 23c has a thermostat 4 cylinder engines tend to have more air coming out of the breather because of changes of space in the crankcase. Does the amount smoke increase under a load when cylinder pressures are higher?

    TO20 ignition switch will not shut off engine

    The exciter wire will feed back the ignition without resistance but when the alternator is not turning there is no voltage to feed back. Even just a momentary push button switch will work once excited it will charge until the alternator quits spinning.
