    Went out of town and my neighbor borrowed my tractor. PTO not working anymore. All hydraulics work and it feels lie the pto is engaging with the handle, but it isn"t spinning. I pulled the rear cover and I can look through the port and see the shaft lifting and lowering when I try to engage...

    IH 544 - dumping gas??? - HELP

    I'm no mechanic - and I haven"t had this thing very long. But.....Suddenly when I turn my tractor on it dumps what I believe to be gas from a pipe that extends out of the left side of the engine. included a link w/ some pics. I"m completely lost on this.     Never actually hit the fence - just drove right up to it - and needed to reverse - now the tractor is stuck where it is until I get some stronger friends or Andy's idea works. And...I guess I should have been more clear but, it's the shifter that won't move - even a little

    I just got done disking my garden plot in Low and 1st gear. I drove the tractor up to the fence - when I went to put in reverse - the shifter wouldn't move. I've tried every combination with high and low and neutral - with the tractor running and off and with the clutch all the way depressed...
