    We had some large hollow steel wheel weights back in the 1960's that you filled with sand after you put the on the tractor.

    They put it on because of the additional drag of the sprocket and chain drive to the second steering wheel, set up so either could drive but not both.

    I put an automotive power steering on 460 farmall that did not have power steering and the kit included a adjustment knob for the amount of boost you wanted but instructions said to turn off when not using tractor to avoid battery drawdown.

    I have planted Ambrosia for about 20 years and won't plant anything else, use a stationary knife to cut it off after blanching and cold water bath.It freezes well, we freeze about 280 bags a year.

    We have a few in NW Iowa, pretty much count on mouldy corn when you shelled them out.I shelled a lot of corn and they were the worst.

    I have a 460 farmall that didn't have power steering, cut the steering shaft and put in a automotive unit in it, found a control unit on line from oversees that allows you to adjust the amount of assist. It works good.

    I had a big Simi cross cow that was papered so I know she was 21 and had given birth to19 calves when I sold her at 2080 lbs.
