    Shop lights flickering

The psi ratings have nothing to do with the lights. 175 psi is a industry standard setting for a 2 stage compressor. Royse I would be leaning toward the loose connection or the motor with parts from the land of almost right. We have had a couple motors on the farm give us some issues with...

Jd Seller, Jon F MN, owner operators

Insurance wise you will need 1 mill, 1 million and 100k cargo as a basic policy. As far as a good idea that is a loaded question. I figure that I need to clear 1500 a day for 4 day's a week to cover my costs anything over that is a bonus. If you do decided to go forward Don't Let someone else...

    A different kind of day...

Hey Dave . We are looking to upgrade our grain system and probably have 2 bins to get rid of. 1 of the is a dryer that does 1800 bu batches and hold 8000 bu . We are close.

    Starting a Grain Hauling business

As a owner operator that hauls grain stone and other stuff the biggest thing I can tell you is chose the truck carefully. I would not buy a truck newer than 2003. The emission trucks will kill the bottom line with fuel cost and down time and repair cost. Look for a truck that is speced...

Block wall - or how I spent August-September

Looks good. Did you happen to put a drain tile in to let the ground water escape? I only say this because I had to hall away a wall like this once because of the hydrodynamic pressure blew it out. I never could get the hang of using the butter kife or trowel [ depending on the old guy's you try...

Got my first war time tractor.

There not bad. I have built a fire in the cylinders with diesel fuel and motor oil with a little gas . It has loosen up one and the rest are showing signs of wanting to move. I got lucky and the crank is laying on its side and not up and down.

Got my first war time tractor.

I went this morning and picked up a 43 Farmall H this morning. Kinda cool to see a steel tag instead of aluminum. Don't know what I'm going to do with it yet but it will live on. Engine is stuck and I have it sitting with a pile of stuff in the cylinder soaking.

    OT GULFSTREAM INNSBRUCK Trailer

It is a sway control mount. If you run a load eq hitch there should be a hole next to the big ball for a tiny ball. I have one I will give you as I believe they are a false sense of security. If it's properly hitched and weighted there is no need for one .

    Spent the

I am assuming that this is not a power stroke. If you look between the nozzles there are little hoses connecting them together. Check the hoses for cracks and the little mushroom caps . Under the the caps are o rings. They can cause a air leak

    Bibs revisited

I have the same problem with getting the letter in the mailbox. The one thing that I do is un button the waste if I'm running a long day. Will say the bibs are the way to go.

    OT-Stuck Engine

How stuck is stuck? I had good luck with finding a cylinder that was mid stroke and putting a spark plug in that I adapted to put a grease gun on and pump away. You have to make sure the valves are closed on that cylinder.

    What's it worth?

the little Ford I would say 2500 to 4000 depending if there is attachments. It looks really clean so I would ask 3800$ . The Bobcat 6500 to 8000 depending on attachments. That is some fine looking equipment and it shows the owner took care of it so it should sell very quickly.

    Everybody loves the farmer

I am helping on the farm for planting season running a 9530 JD with a 36'disk and cultipacker . Everybody pulls to the side when they see the 17'wide tractor coming down the 24' road. All of them except women in the 30 to 50 range that seem to not give a crap or they are totally oblivious...
