The tractor is running again. I decided to follow above post and stay with the points. So new points cap rotor. New plug wires purchased here on site. If anyone not know Make sure to stay with the old ford design plug wire with protective BOOT cover plug holes in head. Unless you like acorn... -

If I remember correctly my 1970 ford 4000 that is all original has the generator, works great. The tach has a Cable going to the guage. I just got my unit running again. -

My 1970 4000 gas is all original. It has the generator and works great. It has a cable driven tachometer i believe. Just got it running again and was wondering what the average high rpm. This tractor has a lot of Ball at low rpm. -

Still not running after all this time. Working in the mountains 3 hr from home just not productive. Seems like the top screw for point gap has a wood type thread screw, it will hold the points if I continue that Route. But I am thinking to go and try pertronics ignition (maybe this be better... -
Steering wheel restoration on my John Deere 650 1987.
The wheel is just sun damage. No cracks just discolored in places. I read there is a chemical process to restore the plastic to look better. Is this better than repainting. Or what about Truck bed liner. Let me know what you guys do.- swattley

Got a few thing I want to do first on this John Deere 650 compact it needs a new set the seat wobble vey bad. Seem the rubber inside the seat bracket collar is not correct size. Can the rod and two rubber bushings still be purchased. I see lots of options to change to new angle brackets. I go to...- swattley

Don’t know much at all about the J D product, I know the engine is built in Japan maybe the whole tractor. I would like to find an operator and service manual. And best location for parts. THE STAR WASHER DOES NOT FIT INTO THE HOLE FOR THE ROTOR. IT IS SLIGHT TOO BIG AND WILL NOT LAY FLAT. PURCHASD HERE. -

Yes it is does have the tab to lock in place. I was just surprised to see the fiber washer and star washer to fit under the rotor inside the top of the dust cap round top. Hope I explained correctly. -

I guess I always assumed the router end would touch the plug terminals or be very close. The big problem is the tractor is up in the mountains 2 hrs from here. And try to prepare everything and have correct sucks. -

ok got my parts from this site. i see something i may have overlooked. i order the dust cap for the distributor. mine was cracked w/ big hole. when i was testing try to start i left the dust cover off. now i see there is some fiber washer and a large star washer in the center portion where the... -

I like this coil. I have had great luck with blue streak points in my boat. The ford has them and all Standard IGN items cap, rotor. They out last the china version.
