PTO shaft spins when not hooked up but

73 Ford 2000 gas live pto .. Pto shaft spins when not hooked up to anything but if you hook up a shaft to say a brush hog you cannot even get the pto handle into position-it just grinds. When not hooked up it does grind or crunch slightly when pulling the pto lever back into position for a...

    Patina caught fire

Going to get a fire extinguisher for mine and bolt it to the fender. I went through the entire wiring harness when I bought mine and could not believe how many places the wire had no covering or was worn down etc.

My 1973 Ford 200 starts hard.. choke in or out, throttle lever at numerous positions. Just seems like luck if is starts. However: once it is started it runs great and throttles good. Does not miss etc.Idles great Is this a carb screw adjustment issue or is this bad part within the carb? Thanks

    Ford 3000 problems

Compression gas leaving the cylinder-pushing the plug wire off. Bad seal. Spark plugs are either not torqued right or the washer is damaged or missing. Worse case sceanario spark plug threaded hole is damaged.

Brake and clutch pedal seal RR

    New vs. old tractors

Newer tractors will never last like the old ones. Too much electronics, plastic and design variations. I purchased a 2006 NH TC45A new and not very many were made. I have already purchased parts from NH that I think will go bad down the road and won't be available to buy in the future...

Brake and clutch pedal seal RR

Ok cleaned my 73 2000 last night and found out it was not leaking between the trans and rearend but the seals on the brake and clutch leavers are leaking. In the Ford manual it says it takes a special Ford tool to remove and replace these seals and bushings. Can it be done w/o this tool...

Leak between transmission and rearend 1973 Ford 2000

I have a leak between the transmission and rear end of my 1973 Ford 2000. Is it just the gasket that needs replaced mating the two halves or is there an internal seal that goes around a shaft that also needs replaced? Thanks for your help

    1974 Ford 2000 Heatshield strap

My 73 2000 has that strap. My wire harness is held in place by 2 clamps that go under two of the valve cover bolts. Always wondered what that strap was for. I would suspect maybe somethingfor diesel or another model and instead of having 2 different part #'s for the shield they just kept the strap.
