    There are so many shop manuals, so you have a recommendation on which to get? None of them have great reviews for in depth type of work. For regualr maintenance they are great but in depth transmission work.....who knows. I know there used to be a transmission manual but I can't find it...

    Tha is man, I actually ended up buying a used one from Texas. Hopefully it works out. It was 30 bucks. I found 1 new one at another shop in Texas for 110 which seemed pricey. Thank you though. I will keep you posted on any updates

    So I drained the oil and sure enough I found a surprise in the bottom of the pan. 1st and 2nd shifter fork! So I fished it out. No idea what to do from here. They dont make them. Even if they did I have no idea how to change it and even if I could what all is involved. Any ideas would be...

    Found the problem. Busted 1st and 2nd shifter fork. It was laying on the bottom of the pan and I saw it after draining the oil. Honestly I think this fix is way beyond my capabilities. I dont even know where to start.
